Yesterday we drove to Denver, a city Wade & I used to dream about having a life years ago. Visiting the city again awakened these sleepy dreams and reminded me why I would love to ditch Vegas and move to the gorgeous state of Colorado.
In a heartbeat, I tell ya. In. a. heartbeat.
We got a great rate at the Grand Hyatt downtown and enjoyed living on the 26th floor, if only for one evening.
All of us agreed finding food was the highest priority, so we went exploring. We got to take a ride on their train system which only enhanced the journey :-)
We waited for the train in front of this huge, historical looking building. Don't ask me what it is because I have no idea. But I did get some pictures. Of course.

Wade wanted to find a restaurant his cousin had recommended, but it didn't work out and we ended up here.

Lucas' choices were limited because the poor guy is allergic to shrimp. But we all got our fill and afterwards went for a walk through downtown.
We found a horse and carriage, which we promptly employed to take us for a ride through the streets. It was lovely. The driver even dropped us off right in front of our hotel.

I just noticed the valet parking sign in this picture. (*funny*)

After a dip in the pool we welcomed the comfort of bed. Well, all except for Davey. Wade didn't want to drag our cot through the hotel lobby, so Davey got the sleeping bag on the floor.
Next: the Rockies.
