Yellowstone Day 2 Part 2

After our pleasant experience with hydrogen sulfide gasses back at Mud Volcano, we continued our journey thankful for the fresh air pouring in through open windows. The weather was *perfect*.

The next stop on the map that the Lake Lodge Lady had circled was the Lower Falls.

The view from the lookout was breathtaking.

This is what's called Yellowstone's Grand Canyon.

Besides the mosquitos, the kids were having a great time.  And Annette was breathing much easier.

On our drive up to the falls we spotted this guy hanging out on a nearby hillside.

Look at those horns.

Best to keep your distance, folks.

Just use the zoom, and keep your distance.

On the drive to the Upper Falls there was a slowing of traffic.

You guessed it.  Wildlife sighting.

But you didn't need your binoculars for this one.  This guy decided to take to the streets, come to the people, get up close and personal.

He probably picked the short straw that day and had to be the one to go give the human beings a little thrill.

He didn't look too happy about it either.

I guess it's a small price to pay for living in Yellowstone.
