We set some off in the afternoon, and then brought out the big guns after sundown.
The kids wore their tie-dye t-shirts they had made before the trip, so of course I had to snap a few shots of them together.

This is where we went shopping, and here are a few things we left with.

We set off a lot of various colored smoke bombs, and other things that made REALLY loud noises. Wade & the kids started getting creative and lit some inside coke cans and water bottles.

And Grandmama caught up on some snuggle time with Davey.

The kids had a blast, and it helps to have a dad that loves blowing things up too.

Even though we stayed home to set off our own fireworks, we were still able to see some big ones over the trees.

I just set up the D80 on the tripod and had a lot of fun capturing the light.

Lucas, Wade & Grandpa liked shooting off these, called Roman Candles. Each one had 5 shots, and every now and then I would capture a good one.

I also took advantage of the night lights, and shot a few passing cars.

I just happened to push the button here when one of the fireworks had just gone off. The moon was full and bright, and the light from the sparks glowed on the trees and the house.

It was a great small town 4th of July.
